St. Paul’s Parish Choir consists of members of the parish who love singing and making music. The choir is under the direction of Organist & Choirmaster Rhett Barnwell.

The choir provides music for worship at the 10:30 AM Sunday service. Additionally, the choir provides music for special services throughout the year – including the Christ Mass on Christmas Eve and several times throughout Holy Week. The repertoire for the group includes hymns from the 1982 Episcopal Hymnal, anthems in a wide variety of styles, and the unique choral tradition of Anglican Chant of the Psalms.

Members come from a wide variety of singing backgrounds and ability levels, and the choir is always open to new members. No audition is required, and everyone is welcome. The only requirement to join is a love of music and singing. Rehearsals are held Wednesday nights in the sanctuary at 7:00 and Sunday mornings in the choir loft at 9:30. Prospective members are welcome to attend a rehearsal or visit us during a Sunday morning service.

A wonderful tradition for the children of St. Paul’s, our children’s choir is ably led by Dawn Harrison. “Ms. Dawn” provides not only musical instruction, but also a fun environment in which to glorify God through singing. Children from 2nd grade and up are welcome and encouraged to join.

A portrait of church choirs

A 3-octave hand bell set and hand chimes were donated to the church several years ago. The bell choir rehearses once a week in the area above the altar that we affectionately named the “bell tower”. Anyone who can count to four may join the bells. If you are interested please contact Dawn Harrison, at [email protected]
