Nicole Walters
Seminarian
Nicole Walters has called St. Paul’s home since 2021 and is delighted to be the Seminarian serving her home Parish during her Episcopal and Anglican studies at Candler School of Theology at Emory University. She is an aspirant for Holy Orders in the Atlanta Diocese. She has responded to God’s call to ministry since her graduation from The University of Georgia with a BA in Religion. That call has taken her to serve the church and non-profits in a multitude of roles and locations for the past twenty years. Nicole has served in volunteer and staff capacities leading ministries with children, women, interfaith and refugee ministries, leading outreach teams, and long and short-term missions. She has a passion for what God is doing in the global church, having lived in the Middle East and South Asia, most recently for two years living with her family in Bangladesh for two years.
Nicole’s belief in the power of story has guided her ministry as a writer at Nicoletwalters.com and as a communications professional. Her work has been published online in places like Christianity Today, (in)Courage, Jesuits News, Red Letter Christians, and Christians for Social Action. She served as contributor and editor at SheLoves Magazine and The Mudroom and has published essays and devotions in several books, including a forthcoming devotional Bible, The Message translation. Nicole is a Communications Strategist at Ruby Brick, helping non-profit clients amplify their messages.
She is married to Lee and has two teenage children and a cuddly dachshund. She enjoys living back in her hometown near family and chatting over a cup of coffee.
