David Kinrade

Organist/Choirmaster

David Kinrade grew up in Iowa; however, he has lived in Newnan for almost forty-four years. He graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City, IA, with a Bachelor’s degree in 1980 and from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, with a Master’s degree in 1982. After graduation, he moved to Newnan and served as the Music Minister/Organist at Newnan First United Methodist Church for forty years. He has worked part-time for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and McKoon Funeral Home since his retirement. He is eager to start his post-retirement position here at St. Paul’s after serving the last few months as Interim Organist/Choirmaster.

David is married to Joan, a pastor in the United Methodist Church, who currently serves Sunny Side United Methodist Church near Griffin. They have two daughters, Emily Thompson and Rachel Kinrade, and three grandchildren, Riley, Mark, and Harper Rae. In his free time, David enjoys singing in the Atlanta Symphony Chorus, accompanying the local Masterworks Chorale, and railfanning. He loves spending time with family and friends.
